Eating Colours of the Rainbow.

Why that might be important?

Different colours generally indicate different nutrient combination.

When plant foods are used in combination, their efficacy, their protective ability or synergistic effect, is often greater than if taken individually. Therefore, it is important to select a mix of fruit and vegetables from different family groups and combine them together. Let the colours and variety of different vegetables and fruit be your guide, as a part of your weekly food preparation and shopping routine. Also don't forget to add some healthy fat with your daily veggies, such as extra virgin olive oil or even butter (Yes, butter!), to increase not only the flavour of the dish but also nutrient absorption.
